New Year, New Accord– See What Makes the 2026 Honda Accord Different

As the new year approaches, so do new Honda Accord models. Honda has been working hard to improve upon the Accord, adding more tech and sportier styling, and these cars are packed with new features. Music lovers rejoice, as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility now come standard in every Accord along with a wireless phone charger, so you’re never without your tunes. That’s just the tip of the iceberg, however, as Honda has made improvements in almost every category.

Starting on the interior, the 2026 Accord LX and SE models both received a 9-inch color touchscreen and a physical volume knob. Looks wise, the Accord SE has a sportier look, with 19-inch wheels and tires. The Accord Sport Hybrid has an edgier look, with black window trim, black decklid badging, black door mirrors, and a black shark fin antenna.

But Honda didn’t just upgrade interiors and aesthetics, as we all know it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and they delivered. The Accord LX and SE have a 1.5-liter turbo engine that produces 192 hp and 192 lb.-ft. torque. But if that’s not powerful enough for you, the Accord Sport, Sport-L, and Touring include the Honda two-motor hybrid system that produces 204 hp and 247 lb.-ft of torque. If that’s not your speed, you’ll surely appreciate the outstanding fuel efficiency of the hybrid models, getting up to 51mpg city and 48 mpg combined.

But what about safety? After all, it won’t matter how many horses can power your car if you get into a fender bender. Don’t you worry, Honda has made a commitment to advancing vehicle safety, and the Accord is a leader in its field. All 2026 Accords come standard with the Honda Sensing suite which includes quite a slew of features, including: Collision Mitigation Braking System, Adaptive Cruise Control with Low-Speed Follow, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keeping Assist System, Traffic Jam Assist, and more. Even the very structure of the Accord is designed to protect passengers in head-on collisions, so you can have peace of mind wherever you might go.

The best part is that over 13 million Accords have been built right here in Ohio since production started in 1982. Honda made a commitment to build products close to the customer and has followed through. Last year, more than 99% of all Hondas sold in the U.S. were made in North America. So next time you drive past Marysville, OH, consider stopping by the Honda manufacturing plant for a tour and get up close and personal with an Accord.

Don’t just take our word for it, come visit Diehl Honda of Massillon and see for yourself why the Honda Accord is one of America’s best-sellers!
