Honda Expands EV Charging Access with IONNA & Circle K Partnership

Through its joint venture IONNA, Honda is partnering with Circle K to dramatically grow the network of high-powered EV charging stations across the United States, making road trips and daily driving easier for EV owners here in Ohio and across the country.
What Is the IONNA Charging Network?
IONNA is a next-generation EV charging network founded by eight major global automakers, including BMW, General Motors, Honda, Hyundai, Kia, Mercedes-Benz, Stellantis, and Toyota.
The goal? Build a nationwide, high-speed EV charging network designed with drivers in mind and focused on reliability, speed, and convenience, making it easier than ever to switch to an electric vehicle.
Circle K + IONNA: A Game-Changing EV Charging Expansion
IONNA’s new partnership with Circle K will bring EV charging to places drivers already know and trust. Together, they plan to:
- Expand to 350+ charging locations nationwide
- Upgrade 85 existing charging sites with faster, more advanced technology
- Install new chargers at high-traffic Circle K locations
- Launch the first “Rechargeries @ Circle K” by the end of 2026
With more than 7,300 Circle K locations across the U.S., this partnership ensures EV drivers will have easier access to charging whether commuting locally or traveling long distances.
Faster Charging, Better Road Trips
The new Rechargeries will offer:
- Ultra-fast charging speeds up to 400 kW
- Compatibility with both NACS and CCS charging standards
- Convenient access to food, drinks, and travel essentials
